Refund policy

Purpose

This policy states the conditions under which Oakland Conservation District issues refunds on plant and resource supply sales.

Condition of plants and products

Plants and products will be delivered in good condition. Any issues or concerns should be reported at the time of pickup. Risk of loss passes to the customer once the order is picked up. The Oakland Conservation District does not guarantee the survival of plants after they are picked up for distribution.

Cancellations and refunds

Orders canceled 14 or more days before the pickup date are refunded in full, less the payment processing fee, which the District’s payment processor does not return to the District. Orders canceled fewer than 14 days before the pickup date are not refunded, because plant stock is ordered from nursery suppliers on the basis of the orders received.

Species that become unavailable

If a species becomes unavailable after ordering closes, the District will notify the customer and refund the amount paid for that item.

Orders not picked up

No refunds will be given on orders not picked up, and they will be rehomed with local organizations for use in restoration and community engagement. If unable to personally pick up an order, customers are responsible for making other arrangements to retrieve their order on the pickup date.
